Stony Brook Spotlights
To everyone on Stony Brook campus grinding, #YourBSU would like to say that your hard work & dedication do not go unnoticed! To recognize these individuals, we want to highlight their achievements with our Stony Brook Spotlight. Please nominate those you feel have helped you, themselves, or the Stony Brook campus shine a little brighter.
#YourBSU is thrilled to present this week’s Stony Brook Spotlight to Etlin Flores for her groundbreaking initiative, the She is Fierce Project, her contributions to the Stony Brook community, and her dedication to helping others! We see you and we appreciate you! Keep doing what you’re doing!

#YourBSU wants to give a big shout out to Teddy Boateng as this week’s Stony Brook Spotlight! You may have seen him taking photos at your favorite campus events, but he also has his own recording venture (TB Productions), interns for Broadridge Financial Solutions, and teaches youth in underrepresented neighborhoods how to play instruments. And if that wasn’t enough, this graduating senior is also a member of the Student African American Brotherhood! Thank you for capturing some of Stony Brook’s most beautiful moments!

#YourBSU wants to give a huge shout out to Devin Robinson as this week’s Stony Brook Spotlight! You may have heard his EP “Celebration” blasting on Apple Music or Spotify, but this Independent Rap Artist finds time to manage his music and academics. A junior and health science major, Devin has worked in an on-campus cancer laboratory, acts as a DSP at the Mary Haven Center of Hope, and also works with Dr. Tracey Walters in the Tri Community mentoring program that engages Long Island Youth. He is also a secretary for COALITION and a PRO for Hairitage. He says, “I want to better my craft and be the best I can be and gain recognition in the process.” Keep doing what you’re doing, Devin!

#YourBSU would like to give a big shoutout to Belinda Boakye as this week’s Stony Brook Spotlight. You may have seen her stylin and profiling on campus, but Belinda is also a member of CSTEP, SAAS and SNMA (Student National Medical Association). She is also an Office Assistant for Gershwin College and a volunteer doula for the Stony Brook Hospital and aspires to be an OB/GYN. Belinda says, “As of now my biggest accomplishment is my perseverance to continue to attain my goals, to be a better me than I was yesterday, and to to keep a great company of friends and family that will push me to excel.” We wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors, Belinda!
